Being from Shreveport, LA, I have been around the casinos since they opened... I can remember back in 1994 when the first riverboat opened, and they were actually charging a $5 cover charge to get onto the boat. A lot has changed since then, and it can be hard to keep up with those changes sometimes.
I now live in Dallas, but enjoy the short trip back to Shreveport/Bossier for several reasons. But the two top reasons are visiting family and friends, and some exciting gambling! Because I have been gambling in the Shreveport market for over 12 years, I know a lot about the casinos. I have played enough that I have earned top-level V.I.P. cards at several of them (pictures on this page are of my VIP cards). As you all know, this takes a lot of time and gambling to earn. Throughout this time, I have learned a lot of things most people have not. I have found information available if you know who to ask, and where to look for it. And I also have access to information that others do not. This information comes from two sources, which you cannot access… The first is through my friends in key positions through the casinos in town. I have several life long friends who work for the casinos, and are in various positions at the casinos. These positions are anywhere from dealers, to security, to V.I.P. hosts, to slot operations. Through these sources, I have information that is not available to the average player. The second is from trial and error. Through my many years of gambling, I have learned many lessons about games, casinos, other players, and more. And I am ready to share this information with you!
After moving to Dallas, I also realized that there were no websites out there to help the out of town gambler with information. You could visit each casino website, but this is very time consuming, and you can only get limited information. So I have created a website that will put information on all casinos in Shreveport on one easy to use website. You will also find information that is straight from other players. I think that the most important information you can gain is from other players. We all have different experiences when we visit different places. And they are all based on true, actual events, so it is the best kind of information… reliable! I have created a forum to allow the players to voice their likes, their dislikes, or questions. This also allows other players to share their responses, their experiences, and to help other players out. After all, in the gambling world, it’s the players against the casinos, right?
I will also take this same theory, and create an area where you, the user, can rate other areas in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. Restaurants and entertainment are other areas that people what to know about. And the best way to have a true opinion about a place is from actual feedback from people who have been. This is information that is invaluable. You will have the chance to not only read the feedback of others, but to create your own feedback based on your experiences.
And because we are created for the gambler, by a gambler… I am always looking for your comments. I am always looking for your feedback for new and better ways to help out our fellow gamblers. You can always submit your suggestions through the “feedback” tab. We will look at all suggestions, and try to make sure that we will always have the best information available to you. We also have a column that will provide great information in all areas of gambling. Different people will write the columns. I will have some of my friends in casino positions write pieces that help to explain things that they are asked on a regular basis. I will write some on different topics that I find helpful. But I will also provide a chance for you, the gambler, to submit pieces for posting.
